New Years’ Treat for Slots Fans

In Microgaming’s first wave of new casino games releases for the year, three slots are already proving popular with players. The team at CasinoLabRat.com have had feedback from a number of the leading Microgaming casinos that a significant rise in slots game play has been observed, and specifically across the new games releases.
The new slot machines; Mark of Medusa, Polar Bash and Little Chief Big Cash (all 5 reel bonus/feature games) were also accompanied by the release of a long awaited download version of Treasure Ireland (as in Irish pirates me hearty!).
Here’s our reviewer’s comments on the new Microgaming slot games:
Mark of Medusa – A heavenly $50,000 Jackpot awaits all who dare reawaken the ancient Greek Gods.
This 25 payline 5 reel slot features Pegasus (a winged horse) as it’s scatter. You need 3,4 or 5 of the little winged horsey to trigger the 15,20 or 25 free spins feature. What is cool is that free spins can be retriggered within free spins and all freebie winnings are tripled.
The first time I played Medusa, my second spin resulted in a 15 free spin spree and a 21580 coin payout. Excellent.
The game symbology is a bit strange, as are the background sounds. Cracked amphorae, crossed blades, multiheaded rottweilers (Cerberus the 3-headed dog), a really odd snakey bint with red blinking snake eyes – sort of like a cross between a Bratz doll and Britany Spears on a bender and …A spartan/Corinthian/Athenian guard (a good thing for Britany to have around these days).
Overall view: Fun for a bit, graphics are not as good as some of Microgaming’s releases and the game introduces nothing new feature-wise. Give it a go.
Polar Bash – Attend the coolest party of the year and sample a winning cocktail of Free Spins and Multipliers. An icy Jackpot of $60,000 is possible.
Looking so much like the slightly poor cousin of Santa Paws Christmas slot, Polar Bash is a lively, colourful North Pole themed New Years Party! The polar bear looks wasted and is wearing a Party Animal T-shirt, The Husky? Wolf? is getting into it with a Martini and party hat and the walrus gets quite excited when you link him in adjacent reels! I like the teetering penguin too.
This 20 Payline 5 reel slot has an Ice Fishing Bonus game that triggers when 3,4 or 5 little green fish splash down next to each other on the reels. You can win up to 15,000 coins in this bonus, up to x10 your original bet. There’s also a free spins bonus triggered by 3,4 or 5 North Pole signs – and the free spins can be retriggered within the freespins. If you get 5 North Pole signs during free spins they pay out at x50 your oriinal bet and 5 green fish pays at x100!
Annoying music and sounds as the reels spin. At least all characters are animated and there are no “place holder” icons (like 10/J/Q/K), it’s all icy animal themed. Good luck. I kept getting low win payout “cocktail shakers” and so gave up to make myself a drink…
I do like that the free spins when triggered really rip through fast. No waiting …!!! For my first 25 free spins I won just 3700 coins. (Quite different to free spins on the other 2 new games out today, Mark of Medusa and Little Chief Big Cash where I won 21580 for 15 Free Spins and 14420 for 43 free spins, respectively).
Overall view: Despite not much success at this slot game it is really fun to play with lots of animation and action. Having both a bonus game and a free spins option it seems more on offer…Suggest you check it out.

This 25 payline 5 reel slot seems to have it all. The graphics are fairly ordinary (a bit too cartoony for my taste and unless you like “pow wow” with your game I suspect you might prefer one of the other releases out today!
The Big Cash Feature is triggered when you get 3 or more slightly dodgy looking howling coyotes. Select from teepees on the plain for cash or free spins prizes. I won 43 free spins (that double your winnings) in my first soire into the teepee camp ground and from that scored at total feature win of 14420 coins. Nice.
Overall view: Oh, Why not? I know I’ll play it again.
