New Microgaming Casino Game Reviews – the good the bad and the just plain boring!

December 1st, 2006

I’d really been looking forward to December’s new games releases from Microgaming. Now they’re here I feel a bit let down this month… this blog reviews the new SLOTS, I’ll cover the new Gold Series Blackjacks and video poker another day.

Mega Moolah Slot features crazy safari animals that are just way too happy...

Best by far: Mega Moolah Progressive slot
Easy. I like giraffes (especially after a TV documentary called “Tall Blondes” where a family fed giraffes out of the second floor windows of their house. Very cool.) The potential win on this slot is encouraging to say the least – you can win a minimum of £1,000,000 – all for one spin of a slot machine! Mega Moolah Slot is a fairly standard freespin/multiplier slot but Microgaming has enhanced it to offer a 4 tiered Progressive Jackpots (Mega, Major, Minor & Mini). Recommended.

Crappiest by far: Summertime 9-line slot
It’s just so dated looking – like a rebadged relic from an earlier age. Yawningly bright fruits and bars – what were they thinking?
(I do quite like the scatter the way the tide comes in to reveal diamonds… perhaps that’s just a girl thing as the rest of this slot game is baaad – and not so bad it’s good either. Even the Jackpot of $150,000 in the Free Spins Bonus Game does not help). Not recommended, in fact it’s a no go zone.

Are the other new slots in December worth a look?
Twin Samarai. This game is OK, not great, but OK. A 20-line 5-reel slot with a geisha girl, fans, cherry blossom and samarai dudes all overpowered a bit by the tacky JQK icons. Twin Samarai offers a $25,000 Jackpot, the geisha does wink at you, and yes, the samarai slashes his blade across a whole vertical column given half a chance – but this new slots game is still pretty yawn.

Glory of Rome. This slot is not the best either, the graphics remind me a bit of last Month’s truely horrible flying circus slot. The Roman Emperor is fairly ugly and the Empress looks like a cheap hooker after a hard night… strange.) That said, the shield bonus game (jackpot to $50,000) and the free spins bonus game (jackpot to $100,000) mean that you can at least have a bit of fun and potentially make some money… Recommended? Yeah why not!

Where can you play these new Microgaming slots games? (They are download casino only)

Ruby Fortune Casino (our luckiest recommended site by far but not able to accept USA Residents)

Yukon Gold Casino (for US based players – residents from 39 States are still welcomed at this great Casino Rewards site).

Let me know what YOU think of the latest games,
